Acoustic Cafe: Acoustic Cafe street performances are underway in downtown Greenville -from musicians to magicians to concert bands. The Acoustic Cafe is a city of Greenville program that books and promotes street performers at five downtown locations. Performance times are from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. The 2006 Reedy River Nighttime Concert Series - sponsored by The Greenville News and the City Parks and Recreation Department - is held every Wednesday night from 7:00 9:00pm during June, July and August. Pack your picnic dinner and bring your family and friends, for a relaxing evening along the Reedy River, at The Peace Center Amphitheater. To see the listing of concerts, click here.

 
 


It's not too late to sign up! The City of Greenville is offering Fly Fishing classes to women who are seeking to learn how to fly fish. The introductory class will be two - three hour classes offering women comprehensive instruction on a variety of skills. The class is designed to promote confidence as you learn about knots, equipment, casting, and more.

When: This course will take place over a two week period on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Cost is $50

Dates include:
• Session I - Tuesdays, August 8, August 15: 6:00 - 9:00 pm

Kayaking Day Trip

The City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Quiet Water Kayaking Day Trip.

Quiet Water Trips: Geared for new paddlers, this one-day program incorporates an introduction to paddling with a guided trip on a local river.

Date: August 12, 9 am - 6 pm
Registration Deadline – August 8



Cost: $50 – Includes transportation, instruction, equipment, and lunch.

Registration is required to secure a seat in the limited sized class.
