A four-week classic movie series set for September will offer free movies, to be shown outdoors at the Peace Center Amphitheater.

The Moonlight Movie Series will begin as the sun sets, at or about 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28.

Shows include:

· Sept. 7: Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein
· Sept. 14: High Noon, starring Gary Cooper
· Sept. 21: To Catch a Thief, starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly
· Sept. 28: Giant starring Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor

Spectators are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. In addition, free popcorn will be available. Event sponsors include Rogers Stereo and the City of Greenville Parks and Recreation. For more information on the series, call 467-4484 or email sizemor@greatergreenville.com.




The Reedy River Nighttime Concert Series is on-going from June1 through August 31. The outdoor concert series brings a variety of music for you to hear free. Acoustic Cafe street performances are underway in downtown Greenville -from musicians to magicians to concert bands.
