Mr. Ravenhorst earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and a Master of Science degree in Transportation Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is registered as a professional engineer in South Carolina and has 8 years of experience with both private consultants and public governments.

Wil began employment with the City of Greenville in 2000 as the Traffic Operations Engineer and has been the Assistant City Engineer for Traffic Engineering since 2003. As head of Traffic Engineering, Wil supervises a staff of 15 that is responsible for managing traffic signals, signs and pavement markings throughout the City. Traffic Engineering also serves as the City’s liaison with Duke Power to maintain street lights. Additional areas of responsibility include managing the City’s Traffic Management Program, providing technical assistance of capital projects, and maintaining coordinated signals corridors for the safe and efficient flow of traffic.

Mr. Ravenhorst is an active member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers as well as the American Public Works Association and the International Municipal Signal Association.
