On Sunday, October 31, 2004 , 2:30 p.m. , at Mt. Emmanuel Baptist Church , 316 Spartanburg Street , Greenville , South Carolina , the Board of Directors of the Friends of Richland Cemetery will commemorate the 120 th Anniversary of Richland Cemetery, one of the oldest cemeteries located in the City of Greenville.
This event is the kick-off for the first annual fund-raiser of the Friends of Richland Cemetery. This year’s fund-raising goal is $20,000. All donations will be used for the preservation and restoration of the cemetery. All donations are tax-deductible.
The Board is soliciting your financial support to purchase ads in the 2004 souvenir booklet. This year’s souvenir booklet will include special recognition for three pioneers in education who are buried at Richland - the late Mrs. Massalena Bowen, the late Mrs. Florence Lykes, and the late Ms. Anna Richardson.
All ads are welcomed - individual or personal, business, church - you may even want to purchase an ad in memory of your loved ones buried at Richland Cemetery .
Prices for ads are as follows:
- Full Page - $120.00
- Half Page - $60.00
- Quarter Page - $30.00
- Patrons - $10.00 per name
Ads submitted with a hard copy photo - additional $10.00.
